MMPDS-26: The Global Aerospace Materials Standard — Now Available
The Metallic Materials Properties Development and Standardization (MMPDS) Handbook is the primary source of statistically based design allowable properties for metallic materials and fasteners used in commercial and military aerospace applications worldwide. With the MMPDS database, customers gain access to comprehensive, validated material property data that is vital for structural analysis and design. Recognized by certifying agencies within their limitations, including the FAA, DoD and NASA, MMPDS guarantees consistency and reliability in your material selection processes.
The updated edition MMPDS-26 features revised material allowables as well as important enhancements for aerospace and materials engineering.
Highlights of the new version
- Revised design allowable values for key aluminum and steel alloys, including 2074-T8, 2050-T84, 7075-T76511, and 7140-T7351.
- New fatigue data for 15-5PH (H1025) as well as further updates to existing material chapters.
- New in Volume II: Ti-6Al-4V (stress-relieved, Wire PA-DED) – a significant step forward for additively manufactured titanium components.
MMPDS-26 is available through Matplus as a standalone digital online database. The official MMPDS data is provided in a structured format and can be directly integrated into digital engineering workflows, CAE/CAD and PLM systems, as well as into custom applications via APIs.
For users who need additional analysis functions, CAE/CAD integration, and compliance support, the extended version is available within EDA®.
By providing the official MMPDS data digitally, Matplus helps companies seamlessly integrate material data into their existing development processes – from material selection and structural sizing through to automated engineering workflows.
