Matplus EDA® Enables Closed Loop for Material Information: VDA231-301 Standard Support

Matplus GmbH presents the latest version of its Matplus EDA® software at the EDA User Conference (October 14-16, 2025, Wuppertal), which supports import and export of files in VDA231-301 format. This creates a fully digital and closed process chain (Closed Loop) for material data.

VDA231-301: The Key to Digitalization of Material Data

The open standard VDA231-301 sets new standards for the exchange of material data in the automotive industry. With the integration into Matplus EDA®, users can now digitally create, manage and transfer test and sampling orders – without media breaks and with maximum efficiency. This not only accelerates collaboration between suppliers, test laboratories and OEMs, but also increases data quality and transparency along the entire value chain.

Benefits of the new Matplus EDA® version

Closed Loop for Material Data: Seamless connection of test orders, test results and material cards in one system.

Manufacturer-independent solution: Open standards avoid dependencies and enable flexible connections to existing systems.

Efficiency increase: Automated data transfer reduces manual interventions and minimizes error sources.

Presentation at ESTAD and EDA User Meetings

At ESTAD in Verona (October 2025), Matplus shows the advantages of the standard in the presentation “Digitalization of Material Properties Across the Entire Process Chain”. At the same time, the new version of Matplus EDA® will be presented at the EDA User Meetings in Wuppertal, which enables the closed data cycle.

“The support of VDA231-301 in Matplus EDA® is an important step for the digital transformation of material data. We are proud to help shape this standard and offer our customers a future-proof solution for material data exchange,” says Dr. Uwe Diekmann, Managing Director of Matplus GmbH.
